Tie Packaging Boxes

★★★★★ 4.5/5 (15+ reviews)

A tie can crease before it reaches the customer if the box is too short or tightly packed. Tie packaging boxes are made around the folded length, fabric thickness and any accessories included in the set.

Everything you need before you order

Review the main overview, technical information, and common buying questions in one clean product area.

Tie packaging boxes are used for single ties, coordinated gift sets and retail collections. They may be made as folding cartons, two-piece boxes or rigid presentation packs. Inserts can also be added for cufflinks, pocket squares, tie clips or other accessories.

Custom Tie Boxes: Fit by Fold, Not Full Length

A standard necktie looks simple to pack until the fabric is folded into a box that is slightly too short. The tie then presses against the ends, the fold becomes sharper than intended, and thicker fabrics may push against the lid. Too much room creates a different problem because the tie can shift and lose its presentation.

For that reason, tie packaging boxes should be measured around the folded tie rather than its full hanging length. Fabric thickness, lining and the number of folds all influence the internal depth.

Single Ties and Boxed Sets Need Different Layouts

A single tie box may only need a shallow tray or folding carton. A box of ties requires more depth and often benefits from dividers that keep each item in its own position.

Gift combinations need a different layout again. A tie and cufflink box usually has one long section for the tie and a smaller fitted area for the cufflinks. A tie and pocket square box may use a divided tray so both fabrics remain visible when the lid is opened.

Brands selling ties alongside footwear or other accessories can carry the same print style into their shoe packaging boxes, helping separate product lines feel part of one collection.

Presentation Box with Lid for Gifting and Storage

The selling price and intended use normally guide the structure. A cardboard tie box works well for everyday retail because it can be stored flat before packing. A two-piece tie box with lid offers a more deliberate opening and is often kept for storage after purchase.

The same lid-and-base construction used for top and bottom boxes can be adapted around the folded tie and any internal holder. For gifting ranges, a magnetic presentation box may make sense when several accessories are sold together.

Inserts Keep Ties in Place Without Pressing Different Fabric

An empty carton does not always hold the product neatly. A folded board insert can sit beneath the tie, while side tabs or a paper band stop it opening inside the box. Sets containing cufflinks or clips need separate cut-outs so the metal pieces do not move onto the fabric.

The insert should hold the contents without squeezing them. This is particularly important with silk, knitted and thicker woven ties, which do not fold in exactly the same way.

Tie Packaging with Personalised Printing Options

The lid normally carries the logo, while the sides can be used for colours, patterns or collection details. Inside printing can also work well because the message appears only after the box is opened.

Black tie boxes are common for formalwear, but the colour should follow the brand rather than the product name. Kraft, white and coloured board can all work depending on the retail range.

A lighter tie carton may also use a structure similar to reverse tuck packaging when quick assembly and compact storage are more important than a reusable presentation box.

Repeat Production for Tie Boxes Requires Accurate Records

For tie boxes wholesale, it helps to settle the folded product size before the cutting template is approved. A small change in tie width or fabric thickness can affect the fit, particularly when an insert is included. Keeping the approved dimensions and artwork on record also makes repeat production easier for seasonal ranges, subscriptions and regular retail orders.
