Donuts can leave grease marks, lose toppings, or slide around in a box that is too large. Custom donut boxes are made to fit the order, whether you sell one donut, six, or a full sharing box.

A box of six ring donuts is fairly easy to pack. Things change when the order includes tall toppings, filled donuts, or several sizes in the same box.
Too much empty space lets the donuts move. A shallow lid can touch icing. Stack several weak boxes during a busy Saturday morning and the bottom ones may start to bow.
We make custom donut boxes around the number and size of donuts being packed. That might be a small carton for one or two products, a standard box of 6 donuts, or a larger box for party and catering orders.
This is easy to overlook. Plain ring donuts don’t need much clearance above them. Donuts covered with chocolate, cream, sprinkles, or decorative toppings need more room. If the lid sits too close, the product can reach the customer with half the decoration stuck to the inside of the box.
For taller products, we adjust the depth of the donut packaging box and can add inserts where movement needs to be reduced. Bakeries selling other decorated products may also use matching packaging for cupcakes, where lid clearance and product movement are similar concerns.
Fresh donuts can leave oil on ordinary paperboard, particularly when they’re packed soon after frying. The right board and food-suitable barrier can help reduce visible grease marks and stop the carton from softening too quickly.
Some bakeries choose kraft or standard cardboard boxes for donuts for daily counter sales. Others prefer coated or printed cartons when the packaging will be used for gifting and branded delivery orders.
For businesses selling a wider range of baked goods, custom pastry packaging may be useful for croissants, Danish pastries, and other products that need different box depths.
A window isn’t necessary for every order. If the customer has already chosen the donuts and the box is going straight into a delivery bag, a standard closed carton may be enough. For counter displays, gift selections, and pre-packed assortments, a window lets customers see the donuts without opening the lid.
Clear panels can be added to small or large boxes, while fully clear donut boxes may suit certain presentation-led products. Bakeries that sell ready-made assortments can also use retail display packaging for smaller packaged products placed near the till.
A café selling one donut with a coffee needs very different packaging from a bakery preparing fifty mixed boxes for an event. We can produce donut boxes individual in size for single servings, larger cartons for mixed selections, and donut gift box styles for birthdays, Christmas ranges, and branded promotions.
For regular bakery orders, donut boxes wholesale can be produced in repeat quantities with the same dimensions and print specification.
